Howell, McPheters, 800 Relay Win for Women's Track & Field

4th of 6 at Dr. Taraschke Team Challenge

Junior Peyton Howell (Canton/GlenOak), senior Ari McPheters (Reynoldsburg/Bishop Hartley), and the Ohio Wesleyan 800-meter relay team of senior Julia Dickman (Marysville), freshman Sarah Mazzei (Rocky River), freshman Aliisa James (Miamisburg/Dayton Christian), and sophomore Addystin Lykins (Carey) won events at the Dr. Taraschke Team Challenge, hosted by Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday in Berea.

Carnegie Mellon won the meet with 102 points to 95½ for John Carroll.  Oberlin finished third with 86 points, followed by Ohio Wesleyan (73), Baldwin Wallace (66½), and Case Reserve (66).

McPheters won the shot put with a throw of 39-1 and finished fifth in the weight throw, while Howell won the high jump by clearing 5-3¾.

The 800-meter relay team won its event in 1:51.17.

Other standouts for the Bishops included senior Chase Patton (Delaware/Hayes), who placed second in the pole vault; senior Anna duSaire (Minneapolis, Minn./St. Louis Park), who was third in the triple jump; senior Khloe Dubenion (Columbus/Academy), who was third in the weight throw; Dickman, who finished fourth in the 55- and 200-meter dashes; junior Madison Manns (Kenton/Bellefontaine Logan), who finished fourth in the high jump; senior Jenna Hotchkiss (Newark/Licking Valley), who placed fifth in the 5000-meter run; freshman Lia Sadd (Avon), who was sixth in the 400-meter dash; senior Kylee McFarland (Granville), who was sixth in the mile run; and sophomore Annika Green (Granville), who finished sixth in the pole vault.

The Ohio Wesleyan 1600-meter relay team of Sadd, Lykins, James, and McFarland finished fourth.
