at Wittenberg Tiger Opener

Freshman Mack Fincham (Springfield/Kenton Ridge) recorded Ohio Wesleyan's best individual finish as the Bishops opened the season at the Tiger Opener, hosted by Wittenberg University on Saturday in Springfield.

The meet, which included competitors from Cedarville, Centre, Denison, Kenyon, Ohio Dominican, Ohio Wesleyan, Rio Grande, Thomas More, Wilmington, and Wittenberg, was not scored.

Fincham finished third in the 500-meter run.

Other standouts for the Bishops included freshman Ryan Tripp (Sunbury/Big Walnut), who placed seventh in the high jump and the triple jump; sophomore Mason Myers (Perrysville/Hillsdale), who was seventh in the long jump and eighth in the triple jump; and sophomore Charley Morris (Denver, Colo./Denver School of the Arts), who finished seventh in the 400-meter dash.
