at Wittenberg Tiger Opener

Junior Lizzi Nagy (North Royalton) posted Ohio Wesleyan's best individual finish as the Bishops opened the season at the Tiger Invitational, hosted by Wittenberg University on Saturday in Springfield.

The meet, which included competitors from Cedarville, Centre, Denison, Kenyon, Ohio Dominican, Ohio Wesleyan, Rio Grande, Thomas More, Wilmington, Wittenberg, and Wright State, was not scored.

Nagy finished second in the weight throw.

Other standouts for the Bishops included sophomore Aliisa James (Miamisburg/Dayton Christian, who was fourth in the long jump and eighth in the 60-meter dash; freshman Emma Hall (Ironton), who placed fourth in the shot put; freshman Coral Pierson (Powell/Olentangy Liberty), who finished fifth in the 60-meter hurdles; junior Cameron Rogers (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South), who placed sixth in the pole vault; freshman Celeste Swihart (Fredericktown), who was eighth in the pole vault; senior Madison Manns (Kenton/Bellefontaine Logan), who finished eighth in the high jump; and junior Liberty Brock (Zanesville/New Concord John Glenn), who was eighth in the 400-meter dash.
