Senior Joey Verdugo (Honolulu, Hawai'i/Upper Sandusky) recorded Ohio Wesleyan's best individual finish at the Wittenberg Invitational, hosted by Wittenberg University on Saturday in Springfield.

The meet was not scored.

Verdugo finished third in the pole vault, clearing 13-11¼.

Other standouts for the Bishops included junior Jacob Bauer (Hilliard/Davidson), who finished fifth in the 400-meter dash; junior Levi Kilian (Ault, Colo./Heritage Christian Academy), who placed fifth in the 800-meter run; senior Cooper Berry (Middlefield, Conn./Coginchaug), who was sixth in the pole vault and tied for eighth in the high jump; senior Christian DeWiggins (Marysville), who finished sixth in the weight throw; senior VaShawn Walker (Columbus/Bishop Hartley), who placed seventh in the weight throw; and junior Wyatt Wells (Marion/Pleasant), who was eighth in the pole vault.
