5th of 7 at Bob Shannon Invitational
Junior Peyton Howell (Canton/GlenOak) and senior Chase Patton (Delaware/Hayes) won events for Ohio Wesleyan at the Bob Shannon Invitational, hosted by Denison University on Saturday in Granville.
Division II entity California (Pa.) won the meet with 125 points to 109½ for Division I competitor Robert Morris. Denison finished third with 82 points, followed by Wooster (79), Ohio Wesleyan (68), Kenyon (61), and Wittenberg (45½).
Howell won the high jump with a mark of 5-3.
Patton won the pole vault by clearing 10-11¾.
Other standouts for the Bishops included sophomore Sarah Watson (Fremont/Ross), who was second in the high jump; senior Ari McPheters (Reynoldsburg/Bishop Hartley), who finished third in the shot put and sixth in the weight throw; sophomore Annika Green (Granville), who placed third in the pole vault; senior Khloe Dubenion (Columbus/Academy), who was fourth in the weight throw; senior Julia Dickman (Marysville), who finished fifth in the 200-meter dash and sixth in the 60-meter dash; sophomore Mckela Elder (Fremont/Ross), who was fifth in the 800-meter run; senior Jenna Hotchkiss (Newark/Licking Valley), who placed seventh in the mile run; junior Lauren Montgomery (Newark/Licking Valley), who finished seventh in the 3000-meter run; and sophomore Cameron Rogers (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South), who was seventh in the pole vault.
The Ohio Wesleyan 1600-meter relay team of Dickman, Elder, Howell, and freshman Kara Cannon (Reynoldsburg/Encore Academy) finished seventh.
Final Results
