Junior midfielder Evie Williams (Providence, R.I./Moses Brown School) scored one goal and set up another during a 3-goal fourth-quarter run that put Ohio Wesleyan ahead to stay, and sophomore attacker Nicole Klabus (Delaware/Hayes) tied a school record to help the Bishops to a school-record-setting win over Baldwin Wallace on Sunday at Selby Stadium.

The win was Ohio Wesleyan's seventh straight, breaking the school record for longest season-opening winning streak set in 2006.

Baldwin Wallace had opened the fourth quarter with scores by Deanna Loukas and Maddie Ray to even the score at 9.

Klabus converted a free-position shot with 7:36 left in regulation time to give the Bishops the lead, and Williams set up sophomore attacker Sophia Staples-Roy (Hopkinton, N.H.) on a goal just 16 seconds later before winning the ensuing draw and scoring to cap a run of 3 goals in 28 seconds and give Ohio Wesleyan a 12-9 lead with 7:08 to play.

The Yellow Jackets closed to within 12-10 on a score by Ray with 5:42 remaining, but freshman goalkeeper Abby Markowitz (Las Vegas, Nev./Somerset Academy) came up with 3 saves during the next 3-plus minutes of play to protect the lead before Klabus scored with 1:02 left to provide some insurance.

Loukas and Klabus traded goals during the first quarter, and the teams swapped scores during the second period as well.  Ray scored to give the visitors a 5-4 lead early in the third period, but Williams fed Klabus for a goal just 16 seconds later to tie the score at 5, kicking off a 5-1 run that included 4 goals by Klabus before freshman midfielder Caroline Fleming (Pittsburgh, Pa./South Fayette) made it 9-6 with 3:38 to play in the quarter.

Baldwin Wallace closed to within 9-7 on a goal by Kaitlyn Hradek late in the third, and the Yellow Jackets completed their comeback with the goals by Loukas and Ray.

Klabus led the Bishops with 9 goals, tying the school record set by Amanda McDermott at Earlham on April 29, 2003.

Williams finished with a goal and 4 asissts.  Markowitz recorded 4 saves in the Ohio Wesleyan crease.

Ray led Baldwin Wallace with 5 goals.  Ashleigh Hildreth stopped 13 shots for the Yellow Jackets.
