Sophomore outfielder Ryan Stefancin (Cleveland/North Ridgeville) knocked in a run to put Ohio Wesleyan on the scoreboard in a non-conference contest against Ohio Northern on Wednesday at Littick Field.

The Polar Bears took a 2-0 lead in the first as Jacob Wenning and Chayten Overholt plated runs, increased the margin to 3-0 on a Logan Stevens RBI in the second, and added a run in the sixth on Dakota Durick's RBI single.

Ohio Northern pushed across 5 runs in the seventh, highlighted by a bases-clearing double by Nick Rothmann.

Ohio Wesleyan got one run back in the bottom of the inning.  Senior catcher Ralph Good (Marble, Colo./Roaring Fork) flared a one-out single.  Sophomore second baseman Blake Farley (Hudson) forced Good at second, then stole second and came in to score on Stefancin's single up the middle.

Freshman righthander Josh Ferreira (Raynham, Mass./Portsmouth Abbey (R.I.)) was the starting and losing pitcher for the Bishops.

Kaidan Domer, who pitched 3.1 innings of one-hit relief, was credited with the win for the Polar Bears.
