Junior Alex Reidell (Centerville) recorded Ohio Wesleyan's best individual finish during the first day of the Vertklasse Meeting, hosted by High Point University on Friday in High Point, N.C.

The meet was not scored.

Reidell finished 10th in the hammer with a throw of 138-5.

Other standouts for the Bishops included senior VaShawn Walker (Columbus/Bishop Hartley), who placed 11th in the hammer with a mark of 137-0; junior Ethan Bradt (Berea/Berea-Midpark), who was 11th in the 10,000-meter run in 32:49357; senior Christian DeWiggins (Marysville), who finished 12th in the Elite division of the hammer throw with a performance of 160-11; and senior Jack Beyer (Dayton/Oakwood), who was 18th in the 10,000-meter run in 36:38.38.

The VertKlasse Meeting is scheduled to conclude on Saturday.
