Senior attacker Luke Swaddling (Strongsville/Lakewood St. Edward) notched a pair of goals as Ohio Wesleyan outscored Wooster, 5-0, during the second quarter on the way to a North Coast Athletic Conference win on Tuesday in Wooster.
The Fighting Scots took the lead on Charlie Ballou's goal less than a minute into the contest and made it 2-0 when Ben Byars scored with 1:10 left in the opening period.
Swaddling found senior attacker Will Anton (Madison, N.J.) for a score with :17 remaining in the first, then scored just 21 seconds into the second quarter to tie the game. Senior attacker Henry Hasenberg (Los Angeles, Calif./Loyola) followed that pattern, assisting sophomore midfielder Ben Buroker (Providence, R.I./Moses Brown School) for a goal, then scoring himself less than a minute after that for a 4-2 Ohio Wesleyan lead. Junior midfielder Brody Leinson (Littleton, Mass.) added a goal at the 2:55 mark and Swaddling scored at the first-half horn courtesy of a Hasenberg assist for a 6-2 Bishop lead at the break.
Anton tallied 2 goals during the third quarter and freshman midfielder Joey Wiseman (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) scored 3 times during the fourth period as the Bishops sealed the outcome.
Swaddling led the Bishops with 3 goals and 3 assists, while Wiseman and Anton added 3 goals apiece. Freshman MacGuire Scholl (Upper Arlington) recorded 12 saves.
Byars scored 2 goals for Wooster. Paul Chandler made 26 saves for the Fighting Scots.
