Kilian, DeWiggins Win All-Ohio Titles for Men's Track & Field

T4th of 13 at All-Ohio championship

Junior Levi Kilian (Ault, Colo./Heritage Christian Academy) and senior Christian DeWiggins (Marysville) won All-Ohio championships to lead Ohio Wesleyan at the All-Ohio championship meet, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday at the George Gauthier Track and Selby Stadium.

Denison won the meet with 111½ points to 111 for Case Reserve.  Ohio Northern was third with 80 points, followed by Ohio Wesleyan and Wooster (76), Wittenberg (72), Oberlin (56½), Bluffton (53), Muskingum (43), Kenyon (34), Defiance (25), Mount St. Joseph (24), and Marietta (17).

Kilian won the 800- and 1500-meter runs in respective times of 1:55.31 and 3:56.17.

DeWiggins won the hammer with a throw of 170-0.

All-Ohio honors also went to junior Ethan Bradt (Berea/Berea-Midpark), who placed second in the 5000-meter run; senior Joey Verdugo (Honolulu, Hawai'i/Upper Sandusky (Ohio)), who finished second in the pole vault; and the Ohio Wesleyan 400-meter relay team of sophomore Dylan Liggett (Medina/Highland), junior Zach Murrey (Logan), freshman Trey Good (Marysville/Fairbanks), and freshman Trey Theobald (Archbold), which placed second.

Other standouts for the Bishops included senior Cooper Berry (Middlefield, Conn./Coginchaug), who finished fourth in the pole vault; senior Jayden Byfield-Ramirez (Washington, D.C./Wilson), who was fourth in the hammer; senior VaShawn Walker (Columbus/Bishop Hartley), who placed fifth in the hammer; Theobald, who was sixth in the javelin; sophomore Antonio Sonego (Medina), who finished eighth in the discus; and junior Alex Reidell (Centerville), who placed eighth in the hammer.
