Senior third baseman Luigi Russo (Kelowna, B.C./Rutland Senior) drove in a run to even the game at 2 in the top of the eighth, but Wabash answered with a run in the bottom of the inning to win the nightcap and complete a sweep of a North Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader on Tuesday in Crawfordsville, Ind.

In the opener, the Bishops took the lead on an RBI single by sophomore first baseman Dillon Ysseldyke (Hilliard/Bradley) in the top of the first inning, but the Little Giants pulled away for the win.

Ysseldyke launched a solo homer to right to lead off the sixth, and senior catcher Lucas Stetter (Fort Collins, Colo./Rocky Mountain) singled and junior outfielder Max Pershin (Chicago, Ill./Lane Tech College Prep) walked to bring the tying run to the plate, but Sam Phillips came on in relief for Wabash and retired the next 3 batters on fly balls to get out of the inning.

Russo and Ysseldyke each went 2-for-4 for Ohio Wesleyan.  Freshman righthander Josh Ferreira (Raynham, Mass./Portsmouth Abbey (R.I.)) was the starting and losing pitcher for the Bishops.

Jacob Bishop pitched the first 5.0 innings for Wabash, and Phillips allowed 1 hit over the final 4.0 frames to record a save.

Graham led off the third inning of the nightcap with a single, moved to third on a double by Ysseldyke, and after a walk to senior first baseman Izaiah Withrow (Carroll/Bloom-Carroll), sophomore outfielder Edrick Padilla (Salinas, P.R./Perkiomen (Pa.) School)) drew a walk to force Graham home.

The Little Giants tied the game in the bottom of the inning as Brayden Lentz led off with a single, moved to second on a sacrifice, took third on an infield single, and scored on an infield out.  Wabash took the lead in the fifth on a sacrifice fly by Austin Simmers.
