at Vertklasse Meeting

Sophomore Antonio Sonego (Medina) turned in a top-20 finish for Ohio Wesleyan during the second day of the Vertklasse Meeting, hosted by High Point University on Saturday in High Point, N.C.

The meet, which included competitors from NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, and NCAA Division III institutions, was not scored.

Sonego finished 19th in the discus with a throw of 118-4.

The Ohio Wesleyan 400-meter relay team finished eighth in :43.18.  The Bishop "A" 1600-meter relay team placed 12th in 3:32.11, while the "B" relay team was 15th in 3:39.86.

Other standouts for the Bishops included freshman Coleman Kegler (Columbus/Upper Arlington), who placed 11th in the participation division of the 400-meter hurdles in 1:02.21; and junior Jacob Bauer (Hilliard/Davidson), who was 17th in the participation section of the 400-meter dash in :51.65.
