Freshman attacker Carson Geier (Milford) collected 2 goals and 3 assists during the first quarter as Ohio Wesleyan took an 8-1 lead and went on to a North Coast Athletic Conference win over Hiram on Wednesday in Hiram.

Geier set up senior attacker Luke Swaddling (Strongsville/Lakewood St. Edward) for a goal to put the Bishops on the scoreboard, then senior midfielder Jack Damon (Portsmouth, R.I.), senior attacker Will Anton (Madison, N.J.), and Geier rang up goals in a span of 40 seconds to stretch the lead to 4-0 less than 3 minutes into the action.

Ambrose Colliluori tallied a goal to bring Hiram within 4-1, but Geier responded with a goal and set up 2 more to junior midfielder Jared Friesen (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif./Trabuco Hills) before sophomore midflelder Henry Little (San Diego, Calif./La Jolla Country Day) wrapped up the first-quarter scoring with a goal for an 8-1 Bishop lead.

The Bishops outscored the Terriers, 8-0, during the second quarter, with Friesen scoring twice, and Ohio Wesleyan outscored Hiram, 5-0, during the third quarter, with junior attacker Vincent Leonardi (Hicksville, N.Y.) contributing a goal and an assist.

Geier led the Bishops with 3 goals and 5 assists, while Friesen finished with 4 goals and an assist.  Freshman MacGuire Scholl (Upper Arlington) had 1 save during the first quarter, sophomore Paddy Colligan (Greenwich, Conn.) made 3 saves during the second quarter, junior George Whitney (Marion, Mass./Tabor Academy) stopped 2 shots during the third quarter, and freshman Nathan George (Gainesville, Va./Battlefield) was credited with 5 saves during the fourth quarter.

Colliluori had a goal and an assist for Hiram.  Bricen Jones and Jacob Hanrahan combined for 17 saves in the Terrier crease.
