2nd of 15 at Otterbein Twilight meet
Junior Peyton Howell (Canton/GlenOak), senior Ari McPheters (Reynoldsburg/Bishop Hartley), and senior Chase Patton (Delaware/Hayes) won events for Ohio Wesleyan at the Otterbein Twilight meet, hosted by Otterbein University on Friday in Westerville.
Cedarville won the meet with 121½ points to 93½ for Ohio Wesleyan. Malone was third with 68 points, followed by Wheeling (55½), Roberts Wesleyan (49½), Lourdes (49), Otterbein (48), Ashland (42), Ohio Dominican (38), Wright State (36), Mount Union (31), Capital (19), Ohio State club (14), and Ohio Christian (1).
Howell won the high jump with a height of 5-4½.
McPheters won the shot put with a throw of 44-5½.
Patton won the pole vault with a height of 11-9¾.
Other standouts for the Bishops included sophomore Annika Green (Granville), who finished second in the pole vault; sophomore Sarah Watson (Fremont/Ross), who tied for second in the high jump; senior Anna duSaire (Minneapolis, Minn./St. Louis Park), who was third in the triple jump; senior Zoe Price (Bellefontaine), who finished third in the 400-meter hurdles; senior Khloe Dubenion (Columbus/Academy), who placed fourth in the hammer and fifth in the discus; sophomore Cameron Rogers (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South), who finished fourth in the pole vault; junior Veronica Hardman (Blenheim, New Zealand/Ravenswood), who was sixth in the long jump; sophomore Jocelyn Weaver (Hudson), who placed sixth in the javelin; sophomore Anna Court (Galion), who finished seventh in the discus; sophomore Ava Klann (Dublin/Coffman), who was seventh in the 400-meter hurdles; and junior Madison Manns (Kenton/Bellefontaine Logan), who tied for seventh in the high jump.
The Ohio Wesleyan 400-meter relay team of Price, senior Julia Dickman (Marysville), freshman Sarah Mazzei (Rocky River), and sophomore Addystin Lykins (Carey) finished third, while the 1600-meter relay team of freshman Lia Sadd (Avon), sophomore Siarra Hoover (Frazeysburg/Newark Licking Valley), freshman Aubrey Dunham (Minerva), and freshman Kara Cannon (Reynoldsburg/Encore Academy) placed fourth.
