Rudolph Leads Bishops After First Round of NCAC Tournament

Senior Grace Rudolph (Centerville) was leading Ohio Wesleyan after the first round of the North Coast Athletic Conference championship tournament, hosted by Wittenberg University on Friday at Westbrook Country Club in Mansfield, Ohio.

Denison was leading the tournament with a 318, finishing Friday's play with a 35-shot lead over DePauw.  Allegheny was in third place at 370, followed by Wooster (385), Wittenberg (389), and Ohio Wesleyan (504).

Denison's Sophia Alexander was the individual leader with a 2-under score of 71, holding an 11-shot lead over teammates Laine Hursh and Ella McRoberts.

Rudolph was in 25th place among individuals with a 110.

Sophomore Amanda Momany (Toledo/St. Ursula Academy) was in 26th place at 113, sophomore Elizabeth Homan (Cincinnati/Anderson) was in 28th place with a 122, and senior Katie Grodhaus (Dublin/Jerome) was in 29th place at 159.

The NCAC tournament continues with the second round on Saturday at Westbrook Country Club.
