at NCAC championship
Senior Grace Rudolph (Centerville) was leading Ohio Wesleyan after the second round of the North Coast Athletic Conference championship tournament, hosted by Wittenberg University on Saturday at Westbrook Country Club in Mansfield, Ohio.
Denison was leading the tournament with a 36-hole total of 643, finishing Saturday with a 66-shot lead over DePauw. Allegheny was in third place at 736, followed by Wooster (747), Wittenberg (760), and Ohio Wesleyan (973).
Denison's Sophia Alexander was the individual leader with a total of 153, leading Big Red teammate Laine Hursh by 7 shots.
Rudolph was in 25th place among individuals with a 217.
Sophomore Amanda Momany (Toledo/St. Ursula Academy) was in 26th place with a 222, sophomore Elizabeth Homan (Cincinnati/Anderson) was in 27th place at 237, and senior Katie Grodhaus (Dublin/Jerome) was in 29th place at 297.
The NCAC tournament concludes with the third round on Sunday at Westbrook Country Club.
