at Mount Union Last Chance meet

Senior Ari McPheters (Reynoldsburg/Bishop Hartley) set a school record while representing Ohio Wesleyan at the Mount Union Last Chance meet, hosted by the University of Mount Union on Wednesday and Thursday in Alliance.

The meet was not scored.

McPheters won the shot put with a throw of 44-11½, breaking the school record of 44-9¾ set by Alison Albrecht in 1998.

Other standouts for the Bishops included senior Zoe Price (Bellefontaine), who finished second in the 100- and 200-meter dashes in respective times of :12.34 and :25.05, with the latter time just 1/100 of a second off the school record set by Casey Ridgeway in 2007; junior Madison Manns (Kenton/Bellefontaine Logan), who was fourth in the high jump with a height of 4-10¼ and seventh in the javelin with a throw of 77-3; senior Khloe Dubenion (Columbus/Academy), who placed sixth in the hammer with a throw of 149-4 and ninth in the discus with a mark of 105-8; and junior Gabby Stefanka (Marion/Elgin), who was ninth in the hammer with a throw of 140-4.
