Freshman Benjamin Blaumeiser (Kettering/Fairmont) led Ohio Wesleyan as the Bishops opened their season at the Wooster Invitational on Thursday in Wooster.

The meet, which included runners from Baldwin Wallace, Denison, Kenyon, Lorain County Community College, Oberlin, Walsh, Wittenberg, and Wooster, was not scored.  Walsh's Anthony Toskin won individual honors, completing the 4-mile course in 21:21.6.

Blaumeiser finished 14th among individuals in 22:13.8.

Sophomore Wes Horton (Columbus/Thomas Worthington) finished 19th in 22:25.3, sophomore Simon Leck (Toledo/St. Francis DeSales) was 33rd in 23:02.0, junior Evan Miller (Wooster) placed 38th in 23:12.8, and senior Ethan Bradt (Berea/Berea-Midpark) was 46th in 23:22.8.

Freshman Xavier Platt (Fredericktown) placed 59th in 23:58.2 and sophomore Charley Morris (Denver, Colo./Denver School of the Arts) finished 72nd in 24:40.3.
