Dubenion Sets School Record for Women's Track & Field

4th of 6 at Baldwin Wallace Dr. Taraschke Team Challenge

Senior Khloe Dubenion (Columbus/Academy) set a school record to lead Ohio Wesleyan at the Dr. Taraschke Team Challenge, hosted by Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday in Berea.

Case Reserve won the meet with 87½ points to 85½ for Mount Union.  Baldwin Wallace was third with 71 points, followed by Ohio Wesleyan (55), Oberlin (22), and John Carroll (12).

Dubenion won the weight throw with a mark of 54-2¾, breaking the school record of 53-1¾ set last year, also by Dubenion.

Also winning events for Ohio Wesleyan were senior Peyton Howell (Canton/GlenOak), who won the high jump by clearing 5-2¼; junior Addystin Lykins (Carey), who won the 400-meter dash in 1:03.21; and sophomore Aliisa James (Miamisburg/Dayton Christian), who won the 200-meter dash in :27.58.

Other standouts for the Bishops included senior Veronica Hardman (Blenheim, New Zealand/Ravenswood), who finished second in the long jump; sophomore Eleanor Luttman (Farmington Hills, Mich./Farmington), who was second in the 5000-meter run; senior Madison Manns (Kenton/Bellefontaine Logan), who finished third in the high jump; and junior Lizzi Nagy (North Royalton), who finished fourth in the weight throw.

The Bishop distance medley relay team of junior Sammy Maglott (Fredericktown), freshman Liz Pollner (Columbus/Bishop Watterson), senior Lauren Montgomery (Newark/Licking Valley), and freshman Alyssa Henry (Warren/Howland) finished second, while the 1600-meter relay team of junior Liberty Brock (Zanesville/New Concord John Glenn), sophomore Ashley Beatty (Delaware/Buckeye Valley), freshman Hazel Jolliff (Cardington/Cardington-Lincoln), and junior Cameron Rogers (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South) placed third.
