Ohio Wesleyan 3, Wooster 0

Senior forward Emily Streeter (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxborough) scored Ohio Wesleyan's first 2 goals and the Bishop defense turned in another outstanding effort as Ohio Wesleyan closed out the regular season with a North Coast Athletic Conference win over Wooster on Saturday at Selby Stadium.

With the win, Ohio Wesleyan takes the NCAC championship.  It is the Battling Bishops' first league title since 2019, when Ohio Wesleyan was part of a 3-way tie for the conference championship, and their first outright NCAC crown since 1995.  With the win, Ohio Wesleyan runs the table during the regular season, finishing with a 16-0 record, including a 10-0 mark in conference games.  It was the Bishops' 13th consecutive shutout.

Ohio Wesleyan will be the No. 1 seed in next week's NCAC tournament.  The Bishops will play fourth-seeded DePauw at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Selby Stadium in one semifinal, while third-seeded DePauw will take on second-seeded Denison in Wednesday's other semifinal.

The Bishops took the lead on an early goal by Streeter.  Sophomore forward Olivia Danley (Del Rio, Texas/Independence (Va.)) fired a shot and Streeter tipped it in near the right post just under 5 minutes into the game.

Streeter struck again in the opening minutes of the third quarter.  Streeter wound up from near the top of the circle and whistled a shot into the Fighting Scot cage.

Senior forward Allie Crawford (West Hartford, Conn./Hall) wrapped up the day's scoring by knocking a loose ball into the cage during the final minute.

Ohio Wesleyan outshot Wooster, 23-0.  Junior Meg McCarthy (Trumbull, Conn.) and junior Brynn Schlesinger (Arnold, Md./Broadneck) combined on the shutout in the Bishop cage.
