at Wittenberg Tiger Opener
Sophomore Chinedu Melenu (Bowie, Md.) and freshman Dylan Harper (Marysville) turned in Ohio Wesleyan's best individual finishes as the Bishops opened their season at the Tiger Opener, hosted by Wittenberg University on Saturday in Springfiled.
The meet, which attracted competitors from Capital, Cedarville, Central State, Cedarville, Denison, Earlham, Heidelberg, Kenyon, Ohio Dominican, Ohio Wesleyan, Wilmington, Wittenberg, and Wright State, was not scored.
Melenu placed sixth in the triple jump, while Harper finished sixth in the 60-meter hurdles and added a ninth-place tie in the high jump.
Other standouts for the Bishops included freshman Michael Strange (High Bridge, N.J./Voorhees), who finished eighth in the 60-meter hurdles; sophomore Ryan Tripp (Sunbury/Big Walnut), who tied for ninth in the high jump and the long jump; and sophomore Mack Fincham (Springfield/Kenton Ridge), who tied for ninth in the high jump.
The Bishop 800-meter relay team of freshman A.J. Jalloh (Columbus/Beechcroft), sophomore Joaquim Bila (Westbrook, Maine/North Yarmouth Academy), sophomore Jake Marzulli (Medina), and freshman Joel Adade (Columbus/Beechcroft) finished third.
Final Results
