Dubenion Breaks Own School Record for Women's Track & Field

Senior Khloe Dubenion (Columbus/Academy) broke a school record for the second consecutive week in leading Ohio Wesleyan at the Dan Kinsey Invitational, hosted by Oberlin College on Friday in Oberlin.

Dubenion won the weight throw with a performance of 55-¾, breaking the school record of 54-2¾ she set last week.

Also winning events for Ohio Wesleyan were sophomore Aliisa James (Miamisburg/Dayton Christian), who won the 200-meter dash in :27.59 and added a second in the 60-meter hurdles and a third in the 60-meter dash; and junior Cameron Rogers (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South), who won the pole vault by clearing 9-5¼.

Other standouts for the Bishops included freshman Celeste Swihart (Fredericktown), who finished second in the pole vault; senior Madison Manns (Kenton/Bellefontaine Logan), who finished second in the high jump; sophomore Ashley Beatty (Delaware/Buckeye Valley), who was second in the 800-meter run; junior Cailee Plunkett (Cincinnati/Oak Hills), who placed second in the 3000-meter run; senior Veronica Hardman (Blenheim, New Zealand/Ravenswood), who finished third in the long jump; senior Gabby Stefanka (Marion/Elgin), who was third in the weight throw; senior Peyton Howell (Canton/GlenOak), who was third in the high jump; junior Ava Klann (Dublin/Coffman), who placed third in the 60-meter hurdles; and junior Sammy Maglott (Fredericktown), who finished third in the 3000-meter run.

The Ohio Wesleyan 1600-meter relay team of Beatty, Rogers, freshman McKenna Downing (Pleasant Hill/Newton Local), and senior Audrey Calvin (Medina/Akron Our Lady of the Elms) finished second.
