Sophomore midfielder Amara Carlson (Dublin/Coffman) converted a free-position shot to tie the score at 10 heading into the fourth quarter, but Dickinson outscored the Bishops, 3-1, during the final period for a non-conference win on Friday in Emerson, Ga.
Carlson's goal with 1:17 left in the third period evened the game at 10.
The Red Devils retook the lead with a goal by Riley Kuehn early in the fourth quarter, then got scores from Gabby Guadalupe and Delaney Herbert for a 13-10 lead midway through the quarter.
Freshman midfielder Tiffany Trinh (Dublin/Scioto) scored with 4:43 left in regulation time to make it 13-11. Ohio Wesleyan won the ensuing draw and senior attacker Grace Egan (Ridgefield, Conn.) had a look at the Dickinson goal, but Red Devil keeper Peyton VanDorpe made the save, and the Bishops would not get another shot during the game.
Dickinson took the lead in the first minute of the game on a score by Liv Yeagle, but scores by junior attacker Sophia Staples-Roy (Hopkinton, N.H.) and junior midfielder Sophia DelGallo (Braintree, Mass.) soon gave the lead to the Bishops.
The Red Devils went back ahead with a 3-0 run that included scores by Liz Barroll, Yeagle, and Guadlupe, only to see Ohio Wesleyan go on a 3-0 run of its own, with goals by freshman midfielder Sam Frary (Concord, Calif./Clayton Valley Charter), Carlson, and junior attacker Nicole Klabus (Delaware/Hayes) giving the Bishops a 6-5 lead late in the first half.
Yeagle tied the game at 6 going into the break, and Dickinson opened the second half with another 3-0 run, with Faith Parker contributing a goal and an assist.
Once again, the Bishops answered with a 3-0 run, with Carlson, Klabus, and Frary finding the back of the net to tie the game at 9 with 5:28 to play in the third.
Carlson led Ohio Wesleyan with 3 goals, while Klabus and Frary adding 2 apiece. Freshman Cadence Jobe (Pickerington/Central) was credited with 13 saves in the Bishop goal.
