Sophomore midfielder Brady Hunt (Maineville/Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy) notched his second goal of the contest with 3:21 left to play in the first half to kick start a 6-0 run that lifted Ohio Wesleyan over Southern Virginia on Wednesday at Selby Stadium.

Knights attacker Gabe King tallied 4 goals in the second quarter alone.  After scoring his third in a row with 4:41 remaining in the second quarter, the visitors held a 7-3 cushion over the Battling Bishops.

Ohio Wesleyan rattled off 6 scores in a row to overtake Southern Virginia.  Following Hunt's score to cap off the first half, freshman attacker Will Siegenthaler (Elmhurst, Ill./York) collected his second goal of the game at the start of the second half to nibble at the Knights' lead.  Freshman midfielder Garrett Smith (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) and sophomore attacker Spencer Amacher (Blacksburg, Va./Blue Ridge School) both scored to tie the game at 7.

Freshman attacker Xander Craven (Franklinville, N.C./Greensboro Day School) scored the go-ahead goal with :05 left to play in the third quarter, assisted by Amacher.  Sophomore attacker Carson Geier (Milford/Milford) fired and scored to extend the Bishop lead to 2 with 12:28 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Southern Virginia midfielder Davis Grant scored with 5:41 left in regulation, but it was not enough as the Bishop defense buckled down to outlast the Knights.

Siegenthaler and Hunt led the way for the Bishops with 2 goals apiece, with Siegenthaler also contributing an assist.  A total of 7 Bishops scored in today's well-rounded attack.  Sophomore goalkeeper Nathan George (Gainesville, Va./Battlefield) gathered 7 saves in a full day of work.
