at Muskingum Amy Adams Memorial Invitational

Sophomore Trey Theobald (Archbold) won an event for Ohio Wesleyan during the first day of the Amy Adams Memorial Invitational, hosted by Muskingum University on Friday in New Concord.

Walsh was leading the meet with 33 points to 26 for Ohio Wesleyan.  Marietta was in third place with 8 points, followed by Otterbein (4), Muskingum and John Carroll (3), and Baldwin Wallace (1).

Theobald won the javelin with a throw of 148-8.

Other standouts for the Bishops included senior Clay Sturts (Lexington), who finished third in the javelin; sophomore Coleman Kegler (Columbus/Upper Arlington), who placed fourth in the javelin; senior VaShawn Walker (Columbus/Bishop Hartley), who was sixth in the hammer; and freshman Mack Fincham (Springfield/Kenton Ridge), who finished seventh in the javelin.

The Amy Adams Memorial Invitational is scheduled to conclude on Saturday.
