at Muskingum Amy Adams Memorial Invitational

Freshman Hazel Jolliff (Cardington/Cardington-Lincoln) won an event for Ohio Wesleyan during the first day of the Amy Adams Memorial Invitational, hosted by Muskingum University on Friday in New Concord.

Ohio Wesleyan was leading the meet with 26 points to 13 for Baldwin Wallace.  Marietta was in third place with 12 points, followed by Otterbein (9), Walsh and Muskingum (6), John Carroll (5), and Cuyahoga Community College (1).

Jolliff won the javelin with a mark of 96-9.

Other standouts for the Bishops included junior Jocelyn Weaver (Hudson), who placed second in the javelin; freshman Marissa Siegel (Blacklick/Pataskala Licking Heights), who was third in the javelin; and senior Gabby Stefanka (Marion/Elgin), who finished seventh in the hammer.

The Amy Adams Memorial Invitational is scheduled to conclude on Saturday.
