at Denison Big Red Invitational
Nine different Ohio Wesleyan competitors won events to lead the Bishops at the Big Red Invitational, hosted by Denison University on Friday in Granville.

Junior Liberty Brock (Zanesville/New Concord John Glenn) won the 200-meter dash in :26.40 and added a third-place finish in the 100-meter dash. Brock also anchored the Bishops' first-place 400-meter relay team, combining with freshman Coral Pierson (Powell/Olentangy Liberty), junior Addystin Lykins (Carey), and sophomore Aliisa James (Miamisburg/Dayton Christian) to break the tape in :49.11.
Sophomore Katelyn Stapleton (Urbana/West Liberty Salem) won the 400-meter dash in 1:00.65 and added a third-place finish in the 200-meter dash.
Senior Veronica Hardman (Blenheim, New Zealand/Ravenswood) won the triple jump with a mark of 33-3 and added a third-place finish in the long jump.
Pierson won the 100-meter hurdles in :15.61 and added a fourth-place finish in the 200-meter dash.
James won the 400-meter hurdles in 1:06.26 and added a fourth-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles.
Senior Ari McPheters (Reynoldsburg/Bishop Hartley) won the shot put with a throw of 42-11.
Freshman McKenna Downing (Pleasant Hill/Newton Local) won the 800-meter run in 2:22.18. Downing also led off the Bishops' first-place 1600-meter relay team, joining forces with senior Lauren Montgomery (Newark/Licking Valley), sophomore Lia Sadd (Avon), and freshman Liz Pollner (Columbus/Bishop Watterson) to win in 4:31.43.
Senior Khloe Dubenion (Columbus/Academy) won the discus with a throw of 124-6.
Senior Peyton Howell (Canton/GlenOak) won the high jump by clearing 5-3.
Other standouts for the Bishops included junior Siarra Hoover (Frazeysburg/Newark Licking Valley), who was third in the 400-meter dash and seventh in the 200-meter dash; freshman Emily Davis (Brimfield/Mogadore Field), who finished third in the discus and seventh in the javelin; senior Madison Manns (Kenton/Bellefontaine Logan), who was third in the high jump and seventh in the 100-meter hurdles; sophomore Eleanor Luttman (Farmington Hills, Mich./Farmington), who placed third in the 1500-meter run; senior Jordan Holton (Chelsea, Mich.), who finished third in the javelin; freshman Emma Hall (Ironton), who finished fourth in the shot put and eighth in the hammer; freshman Marissa Siegel (Blacklick/Pataskala Licking Heights), who placed fourth in the javelin; freshman Celeste Swihart (Fredericktown), who was fourth in the pole vault; senior Gabby Stefanka (Marion/Elgin), who placed fourth in the hammer; junior Lizzi Nagy (North Royalton), who was sixth in the hammer; Pollner, who placed seventh in the 400-meter dash; and Montgomery, who finished seventh in the 1500-meter run.
