Kenyon 10, Ohio Wesleyan 7

Senior attacker Grace Egan (Ridgefield, Conn.) scored to bring Ohio Wesleyan within 5-4 early in the third quarter, but a 3-0 run gave 22nd-ranked Kenyon breathing room, and the Owls went on to a North Coast Athletic Conference win over Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday in Gambier.

Junior attacker Nicole Klabus (Delaware/Hayes) and sophomore attacker Casey Conklin (Marcellus, N.Y.) scored first-period goals to offset scores by Kenyon's Caroline O'Neal and Lily Mason.  O'Neil scored consecutive goals to open the second quarter, but freshman Tiffany Trinh (Dublin/Scioto) rang up a goal to bring the Bishops within 4-3 at the half.

Kenyon's Julia Losey and Egan traded goals to open the third period, but the Owls closed out the quarter with scores from Ella Murphy and Mallory Brophy, then Murphy scored early in the fourth to extend the margin to 8-4.

Junior midfielder Sophia DelGallo (Braintree, Mass.) and freshman midfielder Sam Frary (Concord, Calif./Clayton Valley Charter) rallied the Bishops to within 8-6 midway through the period, but Kenyon put the game out of reach with goals from Ali Hatfield and O'Neil.

Frary had a goal and an assist for Ohio Wesleyan.  Sophomore Abby Markowitz (Las Vegas, Nev./Somerset Academy) was credited with 11 saves.
