Senior Ari McPheters (Reynoldsburg/Bishop Hartley) shattered a school record in leading Ohio Wesleyan at the Harrison Dillard Twilight meet, hosted by Baldwin Wallace University on Friday in Berea.
The meet was not scored.
McPheters launched a 48-7¼ in the shot put, finishing tops among NCAA Division III competitors and second overall. The mark breaks the school record of 45-10 that McPheters set at the North Coast Athletic Conference championship meet last Friday.
Other standouts for the Bishops included freshman Hazel Jolliff (Cardington/Cardington-Lincoln), who finished fifth in the javelin with a throw of 131-9; freshman Coral Pierson (Powell/Olentangy Liberty), who placed fifth in the 100-meter hurdles in :15.12; senior Peyton Howell (Canton/GlenOak), who tied for fifth in the high jump by clearing 5-5; freshman Emily Davis (Brimfield/Mogadore Field), who was seventh in the discus with a throw of 122-8; sophomore Aliisa James (Miamisburg/Dayton Colihristian), who finished seventh in the 100-meter hurdles in 1:06.20; and senior Khloe Dubenion (Columbus/Academy), who was eighth in the hammer with a throw of 168-0;
The Ohio Wesleyan 1600-meter relay team of James, junior Addystin Lykins (Carey), sophomore Katelyn Stapleton (Urbana/West Liberty Salem), and junior Liberty Brock (Zanesville/New Concord John Glenn) finished second in 4:00.26.
Final Results
