Freshman forward Susie Benincasa (Shaker Heights) and sophomore forward Brogan Heilig (Monroeville, N.J./Saint Joseph Academy) scored goals to give Ohio Wesleyan a North Coast Athletic Conference win over Allegheny on Saturday at Selby Stadium.

The Bishops and Gators battled through a scoreless first half.  Ohio Wesleyan enjoyed a 27-0 advantage in shots and a 10-0 margin in corners during the half, but Gator keeper Rowan O'Toole recorded 8 saves and Allegheny defender Jamie Marchewka added a defensive save to preserve the scoreless tie.

Ohio Wesleyan got on the scoreboard in the 41st minute.  Senior defender Ellie Conroy (Worthington/Thomas Worthington) gathered a loose ball, took it into the circle, and fired a shot that Benincasa redirected past O'Toole and inside the left post.

Heilig made it 2-0 midway through the fourth quarter, tipping in a pass from sophomore forward Mattison Hyland (Brodheadsville, Pa./Pleasant Valley).

Senior goalkeeper Meg McCarthy (Trumbull, Conn.) recorded the shutout in the Ohio Wesleyan cage.
