Lawler Paces Bishops at Wabash Invitational

9th of 12 at Wabash Invitational

Freshman Callahan Lawler (Hudson) led Ohio Wesleyan at the Wabash Invitational, hosted by Wabash College on Monday and Tuesday at Broadmoor Country Club in Indianapolis.

Illinois Wesleyan won the tournament with a 10-under score of 854, defeating Millikin by 43 shots.  Rhodes was next at 899, followed by Hope (900), DePauw (907), Wooster (910), Webster (918), North Central (923), Ohio Wesleyan (929), Wabash (930), Earlham (936), and Franklin (950).

Illinois Wesleyan's Griffin Pohl fired a 3-under 69 on Tuesday to pass Titan teammate Aidan Healy for medalist honors, with Pohl finishing with a 7-under score of 29 to win by 3 shots.

Lawler tied for 24th place among individuals with a 227.

Freshman Daniel Golin (Las Vegas, Nev./Bishop Gorman) tied for 42nd place with a 232, junior Gavin Stutz (Wooster/Triway) tied for 48th place at 234, senior Chris Whelton (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Mount Carmel) tied for 55th place at 237, and freshman Gavin Clark (Port Clinton/Lakeside-Marblehead Danbury) tied for 69th place with a 245
