Ohio Wesleyan 130, Wittenberg 58

Junior Evan Lucas (Cincinnati/Loveland), sophomore Ian Sander (Pemberville/Eastwood), and sophomore Alex Tovtyn (Allenstown, N.H./Pinkerton Academy) each won 2 events and helped a relay team to a win as Ohio Wesleyan defeated Wittenberg in a dual meet between North Coast Athletic Conference rivals on Saturday at the Meek Center.

Lucas won the 50 freestyle in :23.29 and the 100 butterfly in :53.93, and teamed with freshman Henry Gaudet (Littleton, Colo./Heritage), sophomore Nathan Ambler (Columbus/Worthington Kilbourne), and junior Graham Mayberry (Urbandale, Iowa/Granville (Ohio)) to win the 200 freestyle relay in 1:30.61.

Sander won the 200 freestyle in 1:52.46 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:01.00, while Tovtyn won the 1000 and 500 freestyle events in respective times of 11:17.07 and 5:26.12.  The duo joined forces with sophomore C.J. Abahazi (Delaware/Hayes) and senior Chevy Kosek (Cleveland/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) to win the 200 medley relay in 1:46.04.

Also winning events for Ohio Wesleyan were Ambler, who won the 100 backstroke in 1:00.43 and placed second in the 50 freestyle; Mayberry, who won the 100 IM in :56.06 and was second in the 100 butterfly; and Gaudet, who won the 100 freestyle in :49.79 and finished second in the 100 IM.

Other standouts for the Bishops included Abahazi, who was second in the 100 freestyle and the 100 breaststroke; and Kosek, who placed second in the 100 backstroke and third in the 200 freestyle.
