Sophomore August Lemert (Granville) won 2 events and helped a relay team to a win, but Wittenberg edged Ohio Wesleyan in a dual meet between North Coast Athletic Conference rivals on Saturday at the Meek Center.

Lemert won the 200 and 500 freestyle events in respective times of 2:02.65 and 5:35.94, and combined with sophomore Maria Thibodeaux (Cincinnati/Oak Hills), freshman Anna Lance (Delaware/Hayes), and senior Brooke Parker (Etna/Pataskala Watkins Memorial) to win the 200 freestyle relay in 1:45.43.

Senior A.J. Johnson (Sutton, Neb.) also won 2 events, sweeping the diving events with scores of 199.15 in the 1-meter and 186.67 in the 3-meter.

Also winning events for
Ohio Wesleyan were Thibodeaux, who won the 1000 freestyle in 12:16.81 and finished third in the 500 freestyle; and senior Lily Davis (Dayton/Chaminade Julienne), who won the 100 backstroke in 1:06.58.

Other standouts for the Bishops included Parker, who placed second in the 50 freestyle and the 100 butterfly; junior Maddie Hoyt (Pataskala/Watkins Memorial), who finished second in the 100 breaststroke and third in the 100 IM; Lance, who was second in the 100 IM; freshman Lillian Borofsky (Easton, Conn./Trumbull), who placed third in the 1000 freestyle; junior Frannie Rhine (Cleveland/Lyndhurst Brush), who finished third in the 100 backstroke; and freshman Avery Hudak (Pickerington/North), who was third in the 100 breaststroke
