Baldwin Wallace 140, Ohio Wesleyan 100

Sophomore August Lemert (Granville) won 2 events and helped a relay team to a win to lead Ohio Wesleyan in a non-conference dual meet against Baldwin Wallace on Saturday in Berea.

Lemert won the 200 and 500 freestyle events in respective times of 2:06.99 and 5:42.16 and teamed with sophomore Maria Thibodeaux (Cincinnati/Oak Hills), senior Lily Davis (Dayton/Chaminade Julienne), and freshman Anna Lance (Delaware/Hayes) to win the 400 freestyle relay in 3:57.09.

Also winning events for Ohio Wesleyan were Thibodeaux, who won the 1000 freestyle in 12:21.69 and added a third-place finish in the 200 IM; and junior Maddie Hoyt (Pataskala/Watkins Memorial), who won the 100 breaststroke in 1:16.39.

Other standouts for the Bishops included Lance, who was second in the 200 IM and the 100 butterfly; Davis, who finished second in the 100 backstroke and third in the 200 freestyle; senior A.J. Johnson (Sutton, Neb.), who placed second in the second 1-meter diving event; senior Brooke Parker (Etna/Pataskala Watkins Memorial), who was third in the 50 and 100 freestyle events; freshman Avery Hudak (Pickerington/North), who finished third in the 100 butterfly; and senior Josephine Stark (Sandusky/Castalia Margaretta), who was third in the 100 breaststroke.
