The Ohio Wesleyan wrestling team and head coach Paul Reid will take a talented lineup to the NCAA Division III Central Regional tournament looking to improve on the Bishops' best-ever 10th-place regional finish in 2023.

Ohio Northern University will host the Central Regional tournament, scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the ONU Sports Center.  The regional tournament will include sixth-ranked Baldwin Wallace, 12th-ranked Ohio Northern, and 14th-ranked Wabash among the 19 schools scheduled to compete.

Five of the 9 Bishop wrestlers headed for the regional tournament have reached double digits in victories, with another having placed in a tournament this season.

Junior Tyler Bodovetz (Streetsboro) will represent the Bishops at 165 pounds.  Bodovetz is 20-7 overall and has placed at 4 tournaments this season.  He won his weight class at the Albion Invitational and finished second at the Manchester Spartan Mat Classic.  Last year, Bodovetz placed sixth at 165 pounds at the NCAA Division III Central Regional.

At 197 pounds, sophomore Geoffrey Kaminski (Lewis Center/Olentangy Orange) compiled a 14-11 record and placed in 2 tournaments, highlighted by a second-place showing at the Adrian Invitational.  Last year, Kaminski went 2-2 at 197 at the NCAA Division III Central Regional.

Junior Des Perry (Garnet Valley, Pa.) went 12-16 at 184 pounds this year.  Perry placed in 2 tournaments during the course of the season, highlighted by a fourth-place finish at the Adrian Invitational.

Sophomore Jimmy Baumann (Dublin/Coffman) will wrestle at 133 pounds.  Baumann is 11-8 overall, including an 11-7 record at 133.  He has placed at 2 tournaments this season, turning in third-place showings in back-to-back tournaments at the Adrian Invitational and the Albion Invitational.  Last year, Baumann finished fifth at 133 at the NCAA Division III Central Regional.

Senior Marquel Henry (Dayton/Chaminade Julienne) will compete at 285 pounds.  Henry has assembled a 10-5 record since making the transition from football to wrestling this season.  Henry competed at 197 at the NCAA Division III Central Regional during the 2021-22 season, going 1-2 in the tournament.

Sophomore Gabe Bulugaris (Lewis Center/Olentangy) has a 9-15 record at 141 pounds this season.  He placed third at the Adrian Invitational.

Senior Christian Tesnow (Great Falls, Va./Bishop O'Connell), who compiled a 7-16 record at 174, is making his postseason debut.

Sophomore Luke Milanovich (Powell/Dublin Jerome) is another Bishop who wrestled in the NCAA Division III Central Regional last year, competing at 149 a year ago.  This year, Milanovich will wrestle at 157, where he has a 3-10 record.

Rounding out the Bishop lineup is junior Joe Connor (Fort Collins, Colo.), who worked his way into the lineup and went 0-5 overall at 149 pounds.  Connor will be making his postseason debut.

The top 3 finishers in each weight class at the NCAA Division III Central Regional tournament will advance to the NCAA Division III championship meet, scheduled for March 15-16 at LaCrosse, Wis.
