at Ashland Jud Logan Light Giver Open
Freshman Connor Smith (Marysville) posted Ohio Wesleyan's best individual finish during the second day of the Jud Logan Light Giver Open, hosted by Ashland University on Saturday in Ashland.
The meet, which included competitors from Ashland, Baldwin Wallace, Capital, Charleston, Defiance, Findlay, Glenville State, Grand Valley State, Heidelberg, Hillsdale, Indiana Tech, John Carroll, Lake Erie, Malone, Mount Union, Mount Vernon Nazarene, Northwood, Ohio Dominican, Ohio Wesleyan, Penn State-Behrend, Tiffin, Trevecca Nazarene, Walsh, and Wright State, was not scored.
Smith finished 11th in the high jump, clearing 6-2¾.
Other standouts for the Bishops included sophomore Ryan Tripp (Sunbury/Big Walnut), who was 13th in the high jump; freshman Alex Stoller (Waverly), who finished 23rd in the 400-meter dash; junior Mason Myers (Perrysville/Hillsdale), who placed 25th in the long jump and the 400-meter dash; and freshman Dylan Harper (Marysville), who was 25th in the 60-meter hurdles.
The Ohio Wesleyan 1600-meter relay team of Stoller, freshman Lucas Weaver (Galion/Northmor), Harper, and freshman Michael Strange (High Bridge, N.J./Voorhees) finished 17th.
