Sophomore Mack Fincham (Springfield/Kenton Ridge) won 2 events for Ohio Wesleyan at the OWU Open, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan on Friday at Gordon Field House.
The meet, which included intercollegiate competitors from Capital, Denison, Emory, Ohio Wesleyan, Otterbein, and Waynesburg, was not scored.
Fincham won the pole vault in the jump-off after clearing 12-5½ and broke the tape in the 60-meter hurdles in :09.00.
Junior Mason Myers (Perrysville/Hillsdale) also won an event for Ohio Wesleyan, taking the 400-meter dash in :52.47 and adding a second in the long jump.
Other standouts for the Bishops included senior Jacob Bauer (Hilliard/Davidson), who finished second in the 400-meter dash and third in the 200-meter dash; sophomore Griffin Sawyer (Rocky River), who was second in the pole vault; freshman Jason Dyer (Kenton), who finished second in the 60-meter hurdles; senior Zach Donley (Columbus/West Lafayette Ridgewood), who was second in the 60-meter dash; junior Trey Theobald (Archbold), who finished second in the 200-meter dash; junior Blake Johnson (Centerburg), who was second in the 3000-meter run; junior Thurman Hou (Temple City, Calif./La Salle College Preparatory), who placed third in the triple jump; and senior Dylan Liggett (Medina/Highland), who finished third in the 60-meter dash.
