Senior second baseman Sophia Cegledy (Pataskala/Bishop Hartley) drew a bases-loaded walk to plate the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth and Ohio Wesleyan went on to defeat Wisconsin-River Falls in non-conference play on Saturday in Clermont, Fla.

In Saturday's first game, Cegledy singled in a run that brought the Bishops within 2-1, but 14th-ranked Tufts held on for the win.

Trailing, 2-0, against Wisconsin-River Falls, the Bishops pushed across 3 runs after 2 were out in the third inning.  Senior third baseman Alyssa Back (Newark) and freshman outfielder Chameron Vanden Eynden (Goshen), lined singles, and a 2-run double by junior outfielder Avery Panozzo (Denver, Colo./Mullen) and a run-scoring single by Cegledy gave Ohio Wesleyan the lead.

The Falcons retook the lead with bases-loaded walks to Johanna Breyen and Kelly Aultman in the fourth, and Aultman singled in a run in the fifth to make it a 5-3 game.

Ohio Wesleyan loaded the bases in the sixth on a walk to senior outfielder Rylie Moore (Noblesville, Ind.), a single by freshman outfielder Rylea Gist (Delaware/Hayes) and a walk by Back.  Two runs scored on a throwing error by Falcon shortstop Kayla Dolan, and Cegledy's bases-loaded walk later in the inning forced home Back with the go-ahead run.

Cegledy went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI, and Vanden Eynden also was 2-for-3.  Junior righthander Kaelyn Rodriguez (South El Monte, Calif.), who came on in relief during the fourth inning and finished the game, was the winning pitcher.

Tufts took a 2-0 lead in the third inning on a sacrifice fly by Josie Steinberg and an RBI single by Kaitlyn Perucci.

The Bishops closed to within 2-1 in the top of the fourth when Cegledy singled in Panozzo, who had singled and moved to second on a fielding error on the play, then took third on a wild pitch.

The Jumbos added a run on the bottom of the inning when Keriann Slayton singled home Lauryn Horita.

Ohio Wesleyan got runners into scoring position in the fifth and sixth innings, but stranded runners on second and third in the fifth and a runner at second in the sixth.

Senior lefthander Katie Chittum (Hebron/Lakewood) pitched the complete game, striking out 3 and walking none.
