Junior second baseman Noah Brazytis (Euclid/Cleveland St. Ignatius) singled in a run to put Ohio Wesleyan on the scoreboard, but Muskingum defeated the Bishops in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday in New Concord.

The Muskies pushed across runs in the first and second frames, with Tobie Teke scoring on a wild pitch in the first and Conner Thamann tripling and scoring on a fielder's choice in the second.  The hosts added 2 more runs in the fourth on a sacrifice fly from Sam Palmieri and an RBI single by Teke.

Senior outfielder Edrick Padilla (Salinas, P.R./Perkiomen (Pa.) School) led off the top of the fifth with a double, moved to third on an infield out, and scored on a single by Brazytis to bring the Bishops within 4-1.  Sophomore catcher Carson Fox (Van Wert/Lincolnview) singled later in the inning to bring the tying run to the plate, but Muskingum starter Max Vosters got out of the inning without any further damage.

Teke added another RBI single in the sixth to account for the 5-1 final.

Padilla went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles for Ohio Wesleyan.  Freshman lefthander Robert Martin (South Webster) was the starting and losing pitcher for the Bishops.
