Senior attacker Nicole Klabus (Delaware/Hayes) scored 3 goals as Ohio Wesleyan outscored Franciscan, 6-1, during the first quarter and went on to a non-conference win on Saturday at Selby Stadium.

The Barons took an early lead when Joanna Hilkert caused a turnover in the Bishop end, then picked up the loose ball and put it into the back of the net.

Junior attacker Caroline Fleming (Pittsburgh, Pa./South Fayette) put Ohio Wesleyan on the scoreboard midway through the first period, and Klabus added a goal shortly thereafter before tallying twice during the closing minutes of the period to give the Bishops a 6-1 lead.

Fleming started off the second-period scoring with a goal just :26 into the quarter, then added 3 more goals during the period as the Bishops built a 14-2 halftime lead.

Senior midfielder Sophia DelGallo (Braintree, Mass.) had a goal and an assist during the third quarter, which saw the Bishops outscore the Barons by a 5-2 count.

Fleming finished with 5 goals and an assist on the day, while Klabus scored 4 goals.  DelGallo added 3 goals and an assist and sophomore midfielder Madeline Lundin (Rocky River) recorded a hat trick.  Freshman Grace Lilly (Granville) went the distance in the Ohio Wesleyan goal, making 2 saves.
