Ohio Wesleyan 14, Baldwin Wallace 8

Senior midfielder Sophia DelGallo (Braintree, Mass.) notched 6 goals as Ohio Wesleyan went on to a non-conference win over Baldwin Wallace on Tuesday at Selby Stadium. 

Junior attacker Caroline Fleming (Pittsburgh, Pa./South Fayette) kicked off the scoring for Ohio Wesleyan 2 minutes into the first quarter. Baldwin Wallace immediately battled back with a goal from Deanna Loukas, who would go on to lead the Jackets with 4 goals. DelGallo got her first with just under 10 minutes left in the first, but yet again, Baldwin Wallace tied it up with 6 seconds to go in the quarter. 

The Bishops started the second quarter strong, scoring 4 straight goals, with 2 from DelGallo to start the scoring, a goal by Fleming, and a free-position shot from sophomore midfielder Tiffany Trinh (Dublin/Scioto) to make the score 6-3. 

Baldwin Wallace scored 4 goals and had 8 shots in the third quarter to bring the game closer, but goals from senior attacker Nicole Klabus (Delaware/Hayes) and junior attacker Casey Conklin (Marcellus, N.Y.) kept the Bishops in the lead, 11-7.

Ohio Wesleyan scored 4 more goals in the final quarter to close out the game strong. DelGallo notched 2 more while Klabus and Trinh each added one. The Bishops outshot the Jackets, 10-7, in the fourth, and 30-28 overall as they went on to victory. 

DelGallo led the Bishops with 6 goals. Klabus followed with 3 goals and an assist, Fleming added 2 goals and 3 assists, Trinh had 2 goals and Conklin added another goal. Junior Abby Markowitz (Las Vegas, Nev./Somerset Academy) made 14 saves in the game.
