Junior second baseman Ryan Duckworth (Hilliard/Bradley) and senior third baseman Mason Timko (Pittsburgh, Pa./West Allegheny) slammed home runs as Ohio Wesleyan wiped out a 4-0 deficit, but Kenyon went on to a win in the nightcap of a North Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader on Friday at Littick Field.

In the opener, the Owls took an early 5-0 lead and went on to a win.

Kenyon's Drew Robinson scored on a passed ball in the first inning of the nightcap, and the Owls added 3 more runs in second, highlighted by an RBI double from Gio Guiliani.

Senior outfielder Edrick Padilla (Salinas, P.R./Perkiomen (Pa.) School) drew a one-out walk in the bottom of the inning, and Duckworth followed with a home run to left center to halve the deficit.  Timko followed with a shot to left center, the Bishops' first back-to-back home runs since April 7, 2022, when Davis Graham and fifth-year shortstop D.J. Neff (Grove City) accomplished that feat in Kenyon's last visit to Littick Field.  Sophomore catcher Carson Fox (Van Wert/Lincolnview) and senior outfielder Ryan Stefancin (Cleveland/North Ridgeville) followed with walks, chasing Kenyon starter Frank Lynch, and junior outfielder Sammy Stoner (Dublin/Jerome) walked to fill the bases before Neff was hit by a pitch to force home Fox with the tying run.

The Owls answered in the top of the third as Tripper Capps was hit by a pitch and Luke Meister followed with a homer to center to put the visitors ahead to stay.  Meister homered again during Kenyon's 3-run fourth inning.

Neff crushed a solo homer in the fifth to bring the Bishops within 10-5, but Meister and Dustin Lee hit back-to-back homers during the top of the sixth to extend the margin to 13-5.

Freshman lefthander Robert Martin (South Webster) was the starting and losing pitcher for Ohio Wesleyan.

The opener saw Kenyon score 5 times in the top of the second, highlighted by a 2-run single from Drew Robinson.

Duckworth singled in a run in the third to put the Bishops on the scoreboard, but the Owls added 4 runs in the fourth, getting a run-scoring double from Capps, and 4 more runs in the fifth, with Robinson contributing a 2-run double and Capps a 2-run homer.

Stoner went 2-for-3 for Ohio Wesleyan.  Senior righthander Andy Anthony (Delaware/Buckeye Valley) was the starting and losing pitcher for the Bishops.
