Junior Trey Theobald (Archbold) posted a top-10 finish for Ohio Wesleyan during the first day of the Jesse Owens Classic, hosted by The Ohio State University on Friday in Columbus.

The meet was not scored.

Theobald finished seventh in the javelin with a throw of 172-2.

Also representing the Bishops was sophomore Benjamin Blaumeiser (Kettering/Fairmont), who was 21st in the 1500-meter run.

The Jesse Owens Classic is scheduled to conclude on Saturday.
