12th of 18 at Otterbein Twilight Invitational

Junior Wes Horton (Columbus/Thomas Worthington) won an event to lead Ohio Wesleyan at the Twilight Invitational, hosted by Otterbein University on Friday in Westerville.

Otterbein won the meet with 89 points to 78½ for Mount Union.  Malone was third with 76 points, followed by Cedarville (69), Wilmington (64½), Capital (56), Wheeling and Shawnee State (52), and Ohio Dominican (35½).  Tiffin and Ohio State Running Club tied for 10th place with 22 points, followed by Ohio Wesleyan (20½), Marietta (20), Wright State (18½), Wittenberg (18), Ohio Christian (9), Muskingum (8), and Thomas More (4½).

Horton won the 800-meter run in 1:58.09.

Other standouts for the Bishops included freshman Lucas Weaver (Galion/Northmor), who was third in the 800-meter run; and freshman Connor Smith (Marysville), who tied for fourth in the high jump.
