Senior outfielder Rylie Moore (Noblesville, Ind.) slammed a solo home run to tie the game at 3, but Hiram scored twice in the top of the seventh inning and went on to win the nightcap of a North Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader on Sunday at Margaret Sagan Field.

In the opener, the Terriers struck for 4 runs in the top of the first inning and went on to the win.

Hiram had taken a 2-0 lead in the first inning of the nightcap on a run-scoring triple by Darian Kanno and a squeeze bunt by Angel Santellan, and Santellan singled in a run in the third for a 3-0 Terrier lead.

The Bishops rallied with an RBI double by freshman outfielder Chameron Vanden Eynden (Goshen) and a run-scoring single from junior outfielder Avery Panozzo (Denver, Colo./Mullen) in the fifth, and Moore's one-out homer in the sixth evened the score at 3.

With one out in the top of the seventh, Larissa Baeza singled up the middle and scored on a double by Abriana Schwartz.  Schwartz tagged up and moved to third on a fly ball off the bat of Fayth Kawamura and scored on a single by Kanno.

Vanden Eynden was 3-for-4 for the Bishops, while senior third baseman Alyssa Back (Newark) and Panozzo each were 2-for-4.  Senior lefthander Katie Chittum (Hebron/Lakewood) pitched the compete game for Ohio Wesleyan.

Kanno launched an RBI triple in the top of the first inning of the opener, then scored on a sacrifice fly from Kylie Perez before a 2-run single by Daynna Mekaru gave the Terriers a 4-0 lead.

Ohio Wesleyan got one run back in the bottom of the inning on a 2-out single by Panozzo, a walk to senior second baseman Sophia Cegledy (Pataskala/Bishop Hartley), and a single by junior first baseman Sophie Leohner (Columbus/Upper Arlington).

The Terriers added 5 runs in the third, highlighted by a 2-run triple by Perez.
