Freshman Gabe Fogle (Delaware/Hayes) stood out for Ohio Wesleyan, but 24th-ranked Kenyon defeated the Bishops in a North Coast Athletic Conference tournament quarterfinal match on Friday in Granville.

The match was played to decision.

Fogle lost to Eric Zhang at No. 4 singles by scores of 6-1, 6-2.  Senior Marcelo Aguilar (Columbus/Olentangy Liberty) lost a 6-0, 6-2 decision to Eliezer Gonzalez at No. 2 singles.

In doubles play, the Bishops' No. 1 team of senior Mark Siriwanichkul (Bangkok, Thailand/St. Andrew International School) and sophomore Kobe Francis (Boca Raton, Fla./Spanish River) fell to Gianluca Bocanegra and Paulo Pocasangre by an 8-3 count, and the No. 2 team of Aguilar and senior Elliot Spicer (Newark) lost an 8-2 decision to Rishil Kondapaneni and Zhang.
