Five Ohio Wesleyan University field hockey players were named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association's 2024 Watchlist, it was announced by the NFHCA.
Sophomore Grace Ammon (Southborough, Mass./Algonquin Regional), senior defender Ellie Conroy (Worthington/Thomas Worthington), junior midfielder Olivia Danley (Del Rio, Texas/Independence (Va.)), junior midfielder Alyssa Markell (Leesburg, Va./Loudoun County), and junior forward Emma Wright (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) were selected by the NFHCA.
The watchlist is intended to showcase those field hockey student-athletes with the strongest potential for consideration to the current year's NFHCA All-Region and All-American teams. To be nominated for the 2024 NFHCA Watchlist, student-athletes must have been previously recognized for their outstanding field hockey abilities within the past 2 years (NFHCA all-region, NFHCA All-America, all-conference, Senior Nexus Championship selection, NCAA all-tournament team, and/or U.S. National or International Team roster) and the student-athlete's head coach must be an active NFHCA member.
Ohio Wesleyan is scheduled to open its season at 4:30 p.m. on Friday against Westfield (Mass.) State in Northampton, Mass.
