MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Ohio Wesleyan field hockey team traveled to Allegheny on Wednesday for a midweek North Coast Athletic Conference matchup.
Grace Ammon broke through in the 36th minute with what proved to be the game-winning goal, as both defenses held strong on a cold October night.
OWU improves to 8-5, with a NCAC-best 6-1 record in conference. Allegheny falls to 3-9, and 1-6 in conference play.
The Red and Black generated seven shots in the first half, but were unable to execute. Following the intermission,
Emma Reynolds fired a shot on goal that was blocked by the keeper, but
Grace Ammon was there to bury the rebound into the back of the cage.

Emma Morgeson and
Emma Reynolds shined, as the trio limited Allegheny to just three shots in the contest.
THE NUMBERS
The Bishops dominated offensively, holding a 20-2 advantage in total shots with a 10-0 advantage in shots on goal.
Grace Ammon continued to come through for the Red and Black, notching her seventh goal of the season and bringing her point total to 17.
Emma Reynolds recorded her second assist and fourth point of the year.

OWU earned 13 penalty corners to Allegheny's three.
Payton Mindel (8-5) got the start and played the full 60 minutes, securing her eighth win of the season.
