at NCAC championship

Senior Lily Davis (Dayton/Chaminade Julienne) and freshman Anna Lance (Delaware/Hayes) competed on a pair of relay teams for Ohio Wesleyan during the first day of the North Coast Athletic Conference championship meet, hosted by Denison University on Wednesday in Granville.

Kenyon was leading the meet with 281 points to 236 for Denison.  Wooster was in third place with 135 points, followed by Oberlin (134), DePauw (120), Ohio Wesleyan (108), Wittenberg (106), and Hiram (50).

The Battling Bishop duo combined with junior Maddie Hoyt (Pataskala/Watkins Memorial) and senior Brooke Parker (Etna/Pataskala Watkins Memorial) to finish seventh in the 200 medley relay in 1:53.46 and teamed with sophomore Maria Thibodeaux (Cincinnati/Oak Hills) and sophomore August Lemert (Granville) for a fifth-place finish in the 800 freestyle relay in 8:09.76.

The NCAC championship meet continues on Thursday, with preliminaries scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and finals scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
