Parker Highlights Women's Swimming & Diving at NCAC Championship

Senior Brooke Parker (Etna/Pataskala Watkins Memorial) recorded Ohio Wesleyan's best individual finish during the second day of the North Coast Athletic Conference championship meet, hosted by Denison University on Thursday in Granville.

Kenyon was leading the meet with 721 points to 685 for Denison.  DePauw was in third place with 387 points, followed by Wooster (357), Oberlin (279½), Wittenberg (228½), Ohio Wesleyan (197), and Hiram (109).

Parker finished 18th in the 50 freestyle in :25.33.  Parker also teamed with senior Josephine Stark (Sandusky/Castalia Margaretta), junior Maddie Hoyt (Pataskala/Watkins Memorial), and sophomore August Lemert (Granville) to place seventh in the 400 medley relay in 4:19.25.

Other standouts for the Bishops included
sophomore Maria Thibodeaux (Cincinnati/Oak Hills), who finished 20th in the 200 IM in 2:22.02; Stark, who was 21st in the 200 IM in 2:25.54; junior Frannie Rhine (Cleveland/Lyndhurst Brush), who placed 24th in the 500 freestyle in 6:04.51; freshman Lillian Borofsky (Easton, Conn./Trumbull), who was 25th in the 500 freestyle in 6:16.59; and Lemert, who finished 25th in the 50 freestyle in :25.84.

The NCAC championship meet continues on Friday, with preliminaries scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and finals scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
